West Chester Hotel Fire
WEST GOSHEN — A fire in a hallway forced the evacuation of a Hotel on the 500 block of Willowbrook Lane .
West Chester firefighters were alerted just after 8 p.m. and arrived to find the alarms sounding and the building evacuated. SERVPRO of West Chester (Danielle Mortimer) was also on the scene and walked the site with the Hotel owner.
The fire was contained by sprinklers, and firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze which was located on a first-floor hallway. At the same time a pipe burst causing extensive damage to the 3 floors on the left side of the hotel.
Multiple guests could be seen leaving the scene with assistance from firefighters.
SERVPRO of West Chester secured the building then provided electricity and heat to the building immediately.
The days to follow our large loss team worked every day until the hotel was able to open up at least half of the building.
